Post UTME Screening: Beware Of Fraudsters, DELSU Cautions Candidates Seeking Admission

Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, has cautioned candidates seeking admission into the institution to be more cautious, saying fraudsters defrauding unsuspecting would-be students of the institution.
A statement on Friday published on the official bulletin of the institution, said “the attention of the University Management has once again been drawn to the activities of fraudsters defrauding unsuspecting candidates seeking admission into the University, purportedly informing them through social media groups , fraudulently opened for such purpose, to pay the sum of five thousand (N5,000.00) naira in the guise of preparing them for DELSU Post UTME examination.”
According to the statement, “many have fallen victim to their antics.”
The institution continued: “For the avoidance of doubt, the Management of Delta State University, Abraka hereby clarifies that the University is not writing Post UTME examination in the 2025/2026 admission year.”
“Any parent or candidate encouraging their wards to do so, does so at their own peril,” the statement concluded.
