Ogwashi-Uku Palace Refutes Malicious Video By Mother Of Oduwanor Brothers, Urges Public To Disregard Claims

Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State – The Palace has strongly refuted the slanderous video released by the mother of Francis Oduwanor and Christopher Nduka Odiakose Oduwanor, which has been circulating across online platforms.

In the video, she appealed for sympathy for her sons, who are notorious for their reign of terror in Otulu Ogwashi-Uku.

Francis Oduwanor, also known as Medolunwa, is currently facing multiple charges for armed robbery, rape, and unlawful possession of firearms at the Delta State High Court in Ogwashi-Uku and at the Federal High Court in Asaba. His brother, Christopher Oduwanor Odiakose, has been declared wanted by the National Police for his role in two brutal murders, including the killing of retired soldier and Otulu community secretary, Diokpa Monye. He remains on the run.

The Palace stressed that the video is nothing more than a scripted attempt to mislead the public and slander lawful institutions. Instead of peddling falsehoods, the mother of these fugitives should have focused on raising her children to become upright citizens rather than a menace to society.

Background on the Brothers’ Crimes
The brothers, together with their associates, have long been linked to violent crimes, including murder, armed robbery, and attacks on community leaders. They were once arrested and remanded following a Delta State Security Council order, but were controversially released on bail despite earlier warnings from the Ogwashi-Uku Town Union that they posed grave threats to public safety.

Since their release, they have been implicated in fresh atrocities. The Inspector General of Police has declared Christopher Oduwanor wanted alongside accomplices Leonard Happy (alias Tilome) and Uche Ike for the murder of innocent civilians in Otulu Ogwashi-Uku. Their crimes are believed to be part of a deliberate campaign of violence to destabilize the community and advance a separatist agenda.

In a landmark judgment earlier this year, Hon. Justice C. D. Diai of the Delta State High Court sentenced their associate, Samson Eleme (“One Eye”), to death by hanging for his violent crimes, including attacks against the Obi of Ogwashi-Uku. This ruling demonstrates that justice is steadily catching up with the network of terror masterminded by the Oduwanor Odiakose brothers.

Assurance to the Public
The Palace has called on the public, particularly members of the Ogwashi-Uku community, to disregard the malicious video. It reaffirmed that Francis Oduwanor and his fugitive brother Christopher will face justice for their numerous crimes, no matter how long it takes.

“The rule of law will prevail,” the Palace Secretary emphasized.

“The people of Ogwashi-Uku can be assured that justice will be served, and those who have terrorized this community will be held accountable before the courts.”
