DELSU Introduces Online Process For Collection Of Degree, Diploma Certificates

Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, has announced that the processing and collection of degree and diploma certificates for graduates of its National Certificate in Education (NCE), Diploma, and Degree programmes is now fully online.

In an official bulletin issued on Monday, 15 December 2025, by the Public Relations Unit of the Directorate of Ceremonials, Information and Public Relations in the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, the university urged all affected graduates to utilise the newly established online portal to check their records, make payments where necessary, and track the status of their certificates.

To access and process their certificates, graduates can visit the Certificate Status Portal at https://certmgt.delsu.edu.ng/. They are then required to select their graduation year and tap “CHECK YEAR”.

“If records exist, they should enter their surname or matriculation number and click “VERIFY SURNAME/MATRICULATION NUMBER”, selecting the correct record if multiple names appear. The system will automatically redirect users to the appropriate page, where they can access attestation if payment has not yet been made, view certificate status if payment has been processed and the certificate is being prepared, or see certificate details if it has already been issued,” the bulletin said.

Adding: “Courier and shipping services are available for certificate delivery, although collection by proxy will not be honoured by the university. For assistance, graduates are advised to click ‘Support’ on the portal homepage.”

The university encouraged graduates to share this important information with others affected.

This move to a fully digital process is expected to streamline certificate collection, reduce delays, and enhance convenience for alumni both within Nigeria and abroad. The portal also supports secure online payments and allows employers or institutions to verify certificate authenticity.
