Sapele Council Appreciates Governor, Security Agencies Over Chairman’s Safe Release
The Sapele Local Government Council has expressed profound gratitude to the Executive Governor of Delta State, security agencies, political leaders, and residents of Sapele following the successful release of the council’s Executive Chairman from the hands of his abductors.
In a letter of appreciation signed by the Secretary of Sapele Local Government, Hon. Overah Raymond, the council described the chairman’s safe return as a moment of relief and thanksgiving for his family, the people of Sapele, and the entire local government.
The council particularly commended the Delta State Governor for his swift intervention, unwavering support, and commitment to the safety of residents, noting that his leadership played a crucial role in securing the chairman’s release.
“Your Excellency, your swift intervention, unwavering support, and commitment to the safety of our people played a crucial role in this positive outcome. We are deeply grateful for your leadership and dedication in ensuring that peace and security prevail in our state,” the statement read.
The council also praised security agencies for their courage, professionalism, and relentless efforts, saying their sacrifices continue to strengthen public confidence in the protection of lives and property.

It further acknowledged the support of the Speaker, political leaders of Sapele Local Government, the Abeke family, churches, the people of Sapele, the State NULGE Executives, Sapele market women, and staff of the Sapele Local Government Council for their prayers, solidarity, and contributions during the difficult period.
