Anambra Assembly Receives Soludo’s Commissioner Nominees For Screening

Gov. Soludo’s Extempore Speech At The South East Development Commission Vision 2050 Stakeholder Forum

The Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Nkem Udeze, has received the first batch of commissioner nominees forwarded by Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo for legislative confirmation.

The list was formally presented during plenary, after which the Speaker referred the nominees to the House Committee on Screening and Election Matters for further legislative action.

The nominees and their proposed portfolios include: Dr. Ben Chuks Odoemena (Agriculture), Mr. Chukwukadibia Okoye, FCCA (Budget and Economic Planning), Mr. Udoji Amedu (Culture,

Entertainment and Tourism), Dr. Ekene Ogugua (Education), and Dr. Clem Aguiyi (Environment).
Others are Mr. Izuchukwu M. Okafor (Finance), Dr. Afam Obidike (Health), Dr. Law Mefor (Information and Value Reformation), Barr. Tobechukwu Nweke, SAN (Justice/Attorney-General), and Prof. Offornze Amucheazi, SAN (Lands).

Also on the list are Barr. Vin Ezeaka (Local Government and Community Affairs), Prof. Charles Ofoegbu (Petroleum and Mineral Resources), Barr. Chijioke Oseloka Ojukwu (Physical Planning and Urban Development), Engr. Casmir Chinenye Agummadu (Power), and Arc. Okey Ezeobi (Works and Infrastructure).

The remaining nominees include Hon. Eddy Ibuzo (Transport), Mrs. Esther Chinyere Onyekesi (Women Affairs and Social Development), and Mr. Patrick Agha, MBA (Youth Development and Sports).

The screening process is expected to commence soon, as part of constitutional procedures required before the nominees can be confirmed and sworn into office.
