Oghenemine: Police Arrest More Suspects
More suspects have been arrested in connection with the alleged extrajudicial killing of Late Oghenemine, as investigations into the incident continue.
The development was disclosed by Comrade Efenena Umukoro, who said the latest arrests include the alleged seller of the firearm linked to the case, reportedly apprehended in Imo State.
According to him, another suspect identified as Mr. Desmond, who was allegedly supposed to receive the weapon in Sapele, is currently on the run, while security agencies are making efforts to apprehend him.
Umukoro further stated that five additional suspects have been arrested and are presently being detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Asaba.
He also revealed that Nuhu Usman of the Effurun Area Command, who was earlier accused in connection with the killing, is expected to appear in court in Delta State between Wednesday and Monday, although the exact date has not yet been confirmed.
He maintained that the campaign for justice for Late Oghenemine would continue until the matter is fully resolved.

Recall that Oghenemine was reportedly found with a gun he had allegedly received in Warri and was supposed to deliver to another person in Sapele, but was allegedly shot dead by the said police officer, prompting a wider investigation into those connected to the movement and sale of the weapon, while the police officer was widely condemned over the incident.
