AG Anambra Set To Embark On Massive Withdrawal Of Criminal Cases Involving Lands

Anambra attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Tobechukwu Nweke SAN has decided to review all pending criminal matters bothering on land disputes.
Speaking, Nweke said, the reason is to enable the AG determine such matters which are civil in nature and to discontinue such cases pursuant to the Powers vested in him by section 211(1)(c)of the constitution of the federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended
Honorable Attorney in view of this, is calling on the general public to submit their complaints in respect of criminal cases involving land disputes pending against any person either in the high court of the State or in the magistrate courts which are believed to be civil in nature for the attorney generals review.

Still Speaking, Commissioner maintained that the complaints should contain a copy of the charge, information with proof of evidence and any other necessary documents which should be submitted to the Attorney Generals conference room ministry of Justice Jerome Udoji Secretariat Awka
