‘Insult Jesus, I’ll Call Out Muhammad Too’ – Israel Joe Warns Muslims
Civil rights activist and social commentator, Comrade Israel Joe, has stirred reactions after issuing a strongly worded warning to Muslims against insulting Jesus Christ, saying he would respond by making similar remarks about Prophet Muhammad.
In a statement posted on his Facebook page, Joe alleged that some outspoken Muslims had become increasingly emboldened to make derogatory comments about Christianity and Jesus Christ.
He argued that such actions were unacceptable and warned that he would no longer remain silent if such incidents continued.
The activist declared that any Muslim who publicly insulted Jesus should expect him to respond in kind by making equally offensive remarks about Prophet Muhammad.
He maintained that his message was intended as a warning against religious provocation.
Joe also criticized what he described as the silence of some Christian leaders over issues affecting Christians, alleging that some had become indifferent because of their relationship with the current government.

Citing Section 10 of the Nigerian Constitution, which prohibits the adoption of a state religion, he called for respect for Nigeria’s secular status and urged all religious groups to coexist peacefully.
He further warned against religious extremism, insisting that no group should believe it has a monopoly on violence or intimidation.
He stressed that his remarks should be seen as a warning rather than a threat.
The Facebook post has since generated widespread reactions on social media, with supporters and critics expressing differing opinions on religious tolerance, freedom of expression, and interfaith relations in Nigeria.
