Oborevwori: Prayers Key To Success Of My Administration

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, has said that the prayers and unwavering support of Christian bodies have been instrumental to the success of his administration, reaffirming his government’s commitment to the Church.

The Governor made the remark through the Executive Director of Projects, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Olorogun Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu, who represented him at the Conference of Ministers organised by the International Network of Apostolic Ministry (INTERACT). The conference was held at Royal Generation International Mission, Ubogo, in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.

Addressing participants on the conference theme, “The Apostolic Reload,” Governor Oborevwori described the theme as timely and relevant, noting that its message extends beyond the Church to governance and all aspects of societal development.

According to him, the theme underscores the need for self-evaluation, rebuilding broken walls and restoring values as pathways to progress and sustainable development. He commended the organisers for putting together the conference, describing it as a wake-up call for Christians to embrace spiritual renewal and contribute meaningfully to nation-building.

In his keynote address, the International President of the International Network of Apostolic Ministry (INTERACT), Apostle Dr. Zilly Aggrey, stressed the need for spiritual assessment and growth as essential ingredients for national transformation. He lamented the declining standards in areas such as education, infrastructure, the economy and moral values, urging Christian leaders to champion positive change in society.

Apostle Aggrey also applauded Governor Oborevwori for his developmental strides in Delta State and his continued support for the Church and its activities.

Also speaking, the International Vice President of INTERACT and Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Delta State Chapter, Bishop Abos Willie, the Chairman of the Okpe Christian Council, Bishop August Ri-Bethel, and the Chairman of the Conference Planning Committee, Archbishop Sunday Dieruenaba, described the conference as an opportunity for ministers to examine themselves, receive fresh spiritual impartation and recommit themselves to effective ministry.

Bishop Abos Willie particularly commended Governor Oborevwori for identifying with the Christian body, describing him as a leader who has consistently demonstrated dedication and stewardship in supporting the Church.

Special prayers were offered for Governor Oborevwori, his administration and the people of Ubogo Community, the host of the conference.

The event featured song ministrations by the INTERACT Mass Choir, performances by the Royal Men and Royal Women, dance presentations and the presentation of gifts to Apostle Dr. Zilly Aggrey.

Among the dignitaries in attendance were the Governor of Bayelsa State, represented by Pastor David Yalla, Archbishop Simon Okah, Archbishop Eric Emiaso, Bishop Sam Oyede, and several other ministers of the gospel.
