OPINION: “Sharia Will Not Affect Non-Muslims”

I hate liars. I hate warfare by stealth. Be honest with me, and we remain friends forever even if we don’t agree on many issues.
Sharia always affects non-muslims . Always. There is a variable definition of what constitutes blasphemy and morality. There is the apostasy Islamic law that prescribes death via Fatwa for any muslim who converts to Christianity, Iṣẹṣe or any other religion.
Salman Rushdie has carried an Islamic death sentence on his head since 1986 because of ‘blasphemy’. He only published a book that beamed the searchlight on a religion. The Ayatollah declared a fatwa. He still had a knife attack from a Sharia compliant Muslim in the USA last year!

Theo Van Gogh was killed in Holland because of a short film deemed blasphemous by fundamentalists. His friend, the brilliant Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a somali woman who left Islam, still carries a fatwa till date! She now lives in the USA with her white husband and kids.
Let’s come home. Isioma Daniels had to leave Nigeria because of Fatwa in 2002. She only published an article deemed blasphemous by certain people. The moderate Muslims kept mute. Deborah was killed in Sokoto, and Alhaji Kojoli deleted his tweet while moderate Muslims also showed solidarity! Rhoda Jatau was imprisoned for 5 years because of… you know it…blasphemy, an ill-defined, entity.
All the people above are Christians or atheist, but Sharia was used to oppress or kill them. So what are the Sharia-loving yoruba Muslims saying again?
To the ones who have refused to fall for the subterfuge of ‘ it’s just for Muslims’ , please remain vigilant. ” Vigilance is the eternal price of liberty.”
