Peretomode, Muoboghare Head Governing Councils As Oborevwori Announces Appointments For Three Delta Universities

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has approved the constitution of Governing Councils for three state-owned universities.

The institutions are the University of Delta, Agbor; Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba; and Southern Delta University, Ozoro.

The appointments were contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Kingsley Emu.

According to the statement, Professor Victor Peretomode was appointed Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the University of Delta, Agbor.

Other members of the council are Rear Admiral Peter I. Eluma, Professor Ebele Egwunyega, Dr. Roland Oritsejafor, Mrs. Joy Enwa, Professor Ben Oghojafor and Professor Patrick Oromareghake.

For Dennis Osadebay University, Governor Oborevwori appointed Professor Patrick Muoboghare as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman.

Other members of the council include Dr. Christopher Onyemenam, Chief Elmina V. Namah, Professor Jacob Oboreh, Dr. Josephine Konyeme, Dr. Philomena Imonivewerha and Professor Rowell Ubogu.

At Southern Delta University, Chief Godson Echegile was named Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council.

Other members are Professor Benedict Binebai, Surveyor Mrs. Felicia Omatsola, Professor Stella Chiemeke, Dr. Tosan Luck Popo, Professor William Ehwarieme and Professor Regina Arisi.

The constitution of the governing councils is expected to strengthen the administration and management of the three universities as they continue to expand their academic programmes and institutional development.
