Birthday: NUJ Delta Celebrates Aniagwu, Hails His Service To State

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council, has felicitated the Honourable Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as an accomplished communicator, committed public servant and passionate advocate of sustainable development.

In a felicitation message jointly signed by the Chairman, Comrade Churchill Oyowe, and Secretary, Comrade Victor Sorokwu, the Council said Aniagwu has, over the years, distinguished himself through his exceptional communication skills, accessibility and unwavering commitment to the advancement of Delta State.

The NUJ noted that as a seasoned public relations strategist and government spokesperson, Aniagwu has demonstrated remarkable capacity in simplifying government policies and programmes, while effectively bridging the communication gap between government and the people.

According to the Council, his eloquence, depth of knowledge and ability to articulate issues of governance have earned him respect within and outside the media community.

The journalists’ body also commended the Commissioner for his media-friendly disposition and cordial relationship with practitioners, noting that his appreciation of the critical role of the media in promoting accountability, good governance and democratic ideals remains commendable.

The Council expressed confidence that Aniagwu’s passion for grassroots development and his current responsibility in the Works (Rural Roads) sector would further contribute to opening up communities, improving connectivity and advancing inclusive development across Delta State.

“On this special occasion, we celebrate a man whose life and career have been defined by service, dedication and an uncommon commitment to the public good.

The Council wished Mr. Aniagwu a joyous birthday celebration and expressed optimism that the years ahead would usher in greater accomplishments and fulfilment.
