…Ideh, Evance, Others To Bag Awards

All is now set for the much anticipated 2017 ‘Urhuoka Day’ celebration, billed to take place on the 26th of December, 2017.
A press release made available to journalists and signed by the President-General of Urhuoka Development Association, UDA, Hon. Abel Oghenekparede, said that during the programme, some persons who have contributed to the development of the community will be honoured.
Leading the list of those to be presented an award is Engineer Matthew Ideh, an indigene of Urhuoka Community and also a distinguished Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) Drilling Manager, who is said to have brought SPDC to limelight in exploration, and contributed financially and morally to the growth of Urhuoka.
Also, the Member representing Ethiope East Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Chief (Hon.) Evance Ivwurie will be honoured “for coming to the rescue of the community from the menace of herdsmen attack.”
The occasion would be chaired by Chief (Dr.) Freeborn Eruotor (JP), as HRM Akpomeyoma Majoroh Ojeta II, Ovie of Oruarivie Abraka Kingdom, Chief (Hon.) Judith Enamuotor, High Chief Godwin Ogboru and Chief (Dr.) Emmanuel Enakpoya JP are expected to also be in attendance.
UDA called on Urhuoka indigenes at home and in the Diaspora to grace the event which would take place at Urhuoka Secondary School Playground, Urhuoka.
The theme for the 2017 edition of the programme is “Honouring Distinguished Personalities.”
