My Deliverance From Kidnapper’s Den Is A Miracle— DELSU Lecturer

A Senior lecturer in the Department of Theatre Arts, Faculty of Arts, Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Dr. Boniface Anyanwu, kidnapped over the weekend, has regained his freedom and united with family members and friends, as he described his deliverance from his captors as a miracle.
Anyanwu who spoke to Oasis Magazine, OM, during a phone conversation, opined that the unnamed local hunter that came in search of woods in the bush to set animal traps, who sighted him tied to a tree, and eventually alerted members of Amai vigilante that came for his rescue, could best be described as an act of God.
He urged the newly sworn-in Chairman of the Local Government Area, Ogbuefi Chukwudi Dafe to adopt a proactive approach to this menace, as he called on the state government to empower and encourage vigilante members who he said made his rescue possible.
“The police would not have been able to get into the bush,” he added.
According to him, his Toyota Camry car in which he was driven away in by the kidnappers, who he said were seven in number, was found at Ozoro by the vigilante group in the community.
Anyanwu was kidnapped alongside the son of one of his colleagues, Nnamdi Nwanchukwu from his Obiaruku residence.
