The Delta state Police Command has arrested three persons suspected to be naval officers who have been engaged in the unauthorized and illegal sale of properties belonging to Niger Delta activist, Chief Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo, which were seized by the federal government about two years ago.
The property which is located along Chevron Clinic Road, Opposite DBS in Warri metropolis has over the past months been burgled by a syndicate of naval officers who auction out the properties to criminal elements and unsuspecting members of the public.
Luck however ran out of the syndicate when policemen attached to the A Division of the Nigerian Police in Warri swooped in on the suspects following a tip-off from the residents of the area who have been observing the suspicious activities around the premises.
A truckload of electricity transformers stolen from the property and about to be sold-off was found with the syndicate.

Usman Shuaibu, one of the suspects.
It was gathered that as at the last count, the suspects have sold equipment worth over N3 Billion, until they met their waterloo in Warri, Delta State on Sunday
At the time of this report, investigations revealed that the alleged three naval officers are cooling off their heels at the police station in Warri.
Efforts to reach out to the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer as to when the suspects will be charged to court proved abortive.
