Oboro Commends Delta LG Boss For Providing Two Communities WithTransformer

The member representing the people of Sapele/Okpe and Uvwie Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Evelyn Omavowan Oboro Esq, today commended the Uvwie Council Chairman, Hon. Tega Ramson Onoyake for providing Urhumarho and Ugborikoko communities with a 500KVA transformer each.

In a brief remark shortly before commissioning the transformer at Ugborikoko, the Federal Lawmaker said the provision of the transformer by the Council boss is to enhance electricity supply in the two communities.

She said: “I want to thank you because you are doing a great job. Our Governor is a SMART Governor. He is doing very well and you have decided to as the mayor of your Local Government, as the Chairman to at least, act according to the way your governor is acting.

“Our Governor is constructing projects and commissioning them and here you are. You have provided a 500KVA transformer to Ugborikoko Community and its environs and you are here to commission it.

“This transformer is not an empty box. It is a transformer that you have bought to enhance electricity supply. So, the people who are here, the petty traders here, those people who have barbing saloon, people who have tailoring shops, people who need light for their drinks in a refrigerator will enjoy the services of this transformer.

“Thank you very much for considering the people of Ugborikoko and the people of Urhumarho communities. The sky is your beginning. God bless you.”

Urhumarho Community got the transformer from the Council boss after suffering two years in perpetual darkness.

Earlier in an address, Hon. Tega Ramson Onoyake canvassed votes from the people of the two communities for Hon. Evelyn Omavowan Oboro Esq who is contesting the Delta Central Seat in the forthcoming elections.

While urging them to embrace “one party system”, Hon. Onoyake said, “Ugborikoko, we should be straightforward. We should play one party system and by God’s grace, things will get better.

“Am still begging; for good things to touch us in Uvwie, let’s vote and support our sister, Hon. Evelyn Omavowan Oboro as Senator.”

He noted that the donation of the transformer is in fulfillment of his campaign promise to the people.

“Recall that I came with the mindset of restoring the lost glory of Uvwie and heralding a new dawn in the Local Government.

“I am enthralled that by the grace of the Almighty God, barely seven months into my government, we have accomplished this great feat.”

Hon. Onoyake said in spite of the economic crunch as well as the very scarce resources, God has enabled him to donate the transformer to Urhumarho Community in line with his restoration agenda.

While noting that without light, the socioeconomic life of a community is crippled, he said: “with the installation of the transformer life has been restored and businesses will begin to boom again.

“The commissioning ceremony has opened a door for more opportunities like this and it also gives me the opportunity to reiterate and reaffirm my commitment in pursuing my restoration agenda.”

Hon. Onoyake called on members of Urhumarho Community to ensure that the transformer is maintained just as he urged them to continue to pray for his administration so that the allocation to the council will improve for more transformative projects to be executed.

He further promised to commission more projects that will improve the lives of the people with the available resources no matter how meager it is.

The council boss said he will continue to work assiduously to ensure that there is peace and security in the area.

Hon. Onoyake thanked the people, especially his political leaders for standing for him and promised not to betray the trust they have in him.

“I will not hesitate to recognize and appreciate the honourable members of the Uvwie Legislative House for their unalloyed support and cooperation since we came into government. To all electorates who gave me their faith, thank you for the confidence reposed in me.”

A former Chairman of the council, Hon. Willy Achubu welcomed the Council Chairman to Urhumarho Community, stressing that the transformer is estimated at four million naira.
