Delta CP Redeployed To Ebonyi, As Anthony Ogbizi Michael Takes Over

CP Anthony Ogbizi Michael has taken over from CP Muhammad A. Mustafa as the new Commissioner of Police at the Delta State Police Command.
During the handover ceremony yesterday, the incoming CP promised to build on existing security mechanisms on ground towards enthroning the reign of peace and security in Delta State.
He advised members of the public to always cooperate with the police and other security agencies at all times.
In his handing over remarks, the outgoing Commissioner of Police thanked the State Government and the people of the state for their cooperation with him and urged them to extend the same cooperation to his successor.
At the signing of the official handover note, CP Mustafa acknowledged that CP Ogbizi has been a friend from inception, as both were enlisted into the Nigerian Police Force, same day on 2nd February 1986, stayed in the same hostel and posted to the same operation’s base at FCT Abuja.
The incoming 17th Commissioner of Police in Delta, Michael is an alumnus of the University of Calabar where he obtained a Bsc degree in Political Science.
He enlisted into the Force in 1986 as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), has held various posts which include ACP DOPs Delta State, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Special Investigation Unit FCIID Abuja, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Counter Terrorism and General Investigation EFCC.
He was Deputy Commissioner of Police Administration Force Headquarters Abuja, Commissioner of Police former Special Fraud Unit, Abuja, CP Community Policing Force Headquarters, Abuja, CP Special Squad Unit Abuja, CP Railway Command, CP Abia State Command and briefly CP Ebonyi State Police Command.
He hails from Obudu Local Government Area of Cross River State.
