Prayer Day: Oruarivie- Abraka Kingdom Holds 2nd Edition

The 2nd edition of Oruarivie-Abraka Kingdom ‘Prayer Day’ programme has successfully held.
The programme with theme: ‘Let God Arise’ took place yesterday at Ojeta Secondary School, Abraka.
During his welcome address, the Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Ven. Obed Chukwuka , commended the leaders of the community for approving December 1 to be observed annually as Oruarivie-Abraka ‘Prayer Day’.
The CAN leader noted that the aim of the programme was to proclaim the lordship of Jesus Christ over the land, seek God’s mercy in repentance, ask for God’s intervention in the affairs of the land and her people, pray against occurrences of evil in the land and to proclaim God’s blessing upon the people.”
Delivering the sermon, the guest speaker, Rev. Cannon Sunny Obukohwo, said that the theme for this year’s programme was appropriate, adding that let God Arise’ is a language of war and that henceforth the enemies of the kingdom would no more achieve their negative mission.
He took his text from Psalms 102.13.
On his part, the Ovie of Oruarivie-Abraka Kingdom, HRM Akpomeyoma Majoroh, Ojeta 11 said that everyone into internet fraud, popularly called ‘Yahoo Yahoo’ would not know peace henceforth, as he advised parents to warn their children to desist from such crimes and other vices.
Furthermore, he warned that from next year, activities such as burial and wedding ceremonies will not be allowed to hold at any venue, adding that December 1 will annually be set aside strictly for the prayer day.
According to him, the annual prayer event will bring progress to the land, saying that more roads will be tarred in the community.
He prayed for the victory of indigenes of the community seeking political offices.
Present at the auspicious event where the queen of the kingdom, Her Royal Majesty, Oghenefejiro Edith Majoroh, members of the traditional council, Member representing Ethiope East Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Chief (Hon.) Evance Ivwurie.
