Media aide to the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Delta State, Stephanie Osama-Agho, has expressed optimism that her principal, Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru, will emerge victorious in the polls conducted yesterday by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, adding that “the people’s voice will speak in Delta.”

Osama-Agho made this remark during an exclusive media chat with Oasis Magazine (OM) in Abraka during the polls.

Her words: “So far, the area where His Excellency voted is peaceful. However, feelers and report from other areas like Oghara and the Delta North Senatorial district witnessed heavy vote buying by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. There was also the report of PDP thugs beating up voters and intimidating those that wanted to vote for the APC candidate.

“Our party still believes in the ideology of the government for the people and by the people. Deltans’ voice must speak because they are tired of the slavery and thuggery and this time they voted their conscience.”

She said: “The security operatives are prepared, but reports available to us are making us have a second thought. But, I believe they are on top of their game.”

She continued: “We are very sure of victory but what we do not want to hear is a situation where people sustain injury all in the name of trying to exercise their franchise. We know the people are with us. All our supporters are very optimistic of a win.”

She called on deltans to keep hope alive, saying that they have been preaching the message of hope.
