DELSU Inducts 39 Medical Graduates

Delta State University, Abraka, today inducted thirty-nine graduate medical doctors from the institution who have completed their training at the College of Health Sciences.
The auspicious occasion took place at the 750 Capacity Lecture Theatre Hall, Site III.
In his address, the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Professor Victor Peretomode, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Professor Samuel Asagba, congratulated the doctors, saying that this was the 11th in the series of induction ceremonies for graduating doctors.
He called on the graduating students to be good ambassadors of the institution and continue to push for higher heights as they leave the university environment.
On his part, the Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Professor Lawrence Omo-Aghoja, commended the management and the Okowa-led administration for the support the College enjoys, saying that a recent ranking placed DELSU as 10th on the list of notable medical institutions in the country.
According to him, his mission is to make the College the best in Nigeria, adding that a whooping sum of N1, 000, 000, 000 is needed to actualize this.
He called on stakeholders, parents and graduates to key into this dream and give generously, saying that some donations have already been received to actualize this goal.
High point of the ceremony was the swearing-in and oath taking by the 11th set of qualified doctors in the institution.
Cash prizes of N100, 000 from the university management and N50, 000 from Prof. Asagba were presented to the overall best graduating student, God-dowell Odukudu.
