Two robbers identified as Ifeanyi Ossai and Frank Ragade, both aged 23, after several successful robbery operations in the university town of Abraka on several occasions, two days ago met their waterloo during a robbery operation in the community.

Our investigation showed that the duo are both resident in Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State, with Frank resident in Umuebu community and Ossai in Amai community .

Oasis Magazine (OM) gathered that Frank and Ossai after successfully carrying out an operation in an hostel in NUT Road at about 9 p.m. after damaging the fence and gaining entrance, moved over to St. Clem Hostel in Benbo area where they also scaled over the fence at about 3 a.m., but were sighted by a pastor in the area who was praying in a secluded place around the said hostel.

The pastor thus alerted the residents in St. Clem Hostel, who then laid ambush for the duo. Frank and Ossai were severely beaten by a mob after they were caught by the residents of the hostel before the police were alerted.

According to occupants in the hostel, two weeks ago, they were robbed by the same robbers.

Our source disclosed that the robbers were arrested by the police in the pool of their blood and rushed to the hospital for treatment, but later died while receiving treatments.

A locally made cut-to-size short gun, four live cartridges, a cutlass and hammer were found in their possession.

The police recovered valuable items such as phones robbed from their first victim in NUT Road.

According to police sources, during previous robbery operations by Frank and Ossai, several of their victims have been shot and while others had their house properties destroyed in the cause of forcefully gaining entrance into their apartments.      e
