By Daniel Dafe
An aspirant for the Chairmanship position in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, Double Chief Harrison Jessa, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Jessa Global Limited, has said that the tenure of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa so far has been above board, saying that the he has performed marvelously well and deserves commendation.
Governor Ifeanyi Okowa yesterday celebrated the first year in office of his second term after successfully concluding his first 4-year-term.
Speaking to Oasis Magazine (OM) during an exclusive chat, Jessa said that Governor Okowa has fulfilled lots of his campaign promises, adding that before he completes the second term having done five years of his 8 years, he had enough time to complete his vision for the state.
He said: “Governor Okowa cares and he has not relented in his efforts to change the face of Delta.
“I have witnessed his development strides in the areas of education and road infrastructure. I know that Deltans are impressed with how he has run the state and I am optimistic that the best is yet to come.
“I remember vividly well how he sent down palliatives to the local government area during the COVID-19 lockdown. I was a key player in my ward and community and all I can say is that the governor loves people.”
He continued: “I hope to emerge the council chairman in the local government area so that I can compliment his development strides in Ethiope East in my own way. I would love to work with him and just the same way he has a strong passion to make things happen in the state I will do same too here. I hope to translate that zest for development through governance he has to my people in Ethiope East if I am given the mandate.”
