Senior Special Assistant on Youths Development to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, Hon. Kennedy Eyube, has appealed to Urhobo nation to allow the Okpe axis to produce the next Governor in 2023.
Eyube, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Okpe Local Government Area, who spoke to journalists in Warri, yesterday, said the appeal had become necessary for the purpose of justice, equity and sustained unity of Urhobo nation.
”Gadually, we are getting closer to the PDP Governorship primary, and I want to appeal to all Okpe indigenes to come together to project one Governorship aspirant for the PDP Governorship primary. Moreso, I believe that Okpe axis will collectively support Hon. James Augoye, a PDP Governorship aspirant for 2023.”
He continued: ”Let me appeal to my beloved Okpe brothers, especially those who are also interested in contesting the governorship in 2023, to support the ambition of HON chief James Augoye being a unifying factor that can unite Delta Central and carry all leaders along.”
Eyube, further noted that the PDP leaders in Okpe axis are united and expressed confidence that the PDP leaders would ensure that Okpe axis is given the opportunity to produce the PDP Governorship candidate and subsequently elected as next Governor in 2023.
He commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for the uncommon transformation, human and infrastructural developments being witnessed across all parts of the state, adding that Governor Okowa will surely leave behind an indelible legacy in the history of Delta State.
