By Daniel Dafe, Abraka
The national leadership of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has commiserated with the Chairman of the party in Delta State, Ambassador Oke Idawene, over the death of his wife, Deaconess Mrs Bose Oke Idawene.
Deaconess Idawene died on Sunday at the age of 41.
A statement signed by Ambassador Rufus B Aiyenigba, National Publicity Secretary, said “the national headquarters of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, received the shocking and sad news of the sudden death of the wife of our very committed and vibrant Member, the Delta State Chairman and former Chairman, Forum of SDP State Chairmen, Ambassador Oke Idawene, JP, which occurred over the weekend.
“The entire SDP family across Nigeria
feels deeply pained about this great loss suffered by our dear brother, and shares in his grief.”
The Party prayed God to rest the soul of the deceased, comfort and be with the children that she left behind.
Adding: “Since it is established for all mortals to taste death at one point on the other, Ambassador Oke is enjoined to be strong in the Lord, trusting in His resurrection powers. May God grant him the needed fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
