Sociocultural Development/Ethical Revolution: Varsity Set To Partner Itsekiri Kingdom

The Governing Board of Wase Bible University in Delta State says the institution is determined to partner Itsekiri Kingdom in the areas of sociocultural development and ethical revolution with a view to meeting present challenges.

The Chairman of the Governing Board of the University, Dr. Ambrose Vhovhen made this disclosure on Tuesday when he led a delegation of the institution on a condolence visit to the royal Palace of the Olu of Warri over the passage of His Majesty, Ogiame Ikenwoli, the immediate past Olu, who joined his ancestors last December.

Dr. Vhovhen recalled with nostalgia the life and times of His Majesty, Ogiame Ikenwoli, adding that he contributed immensely to the transformation of Warri Kingdom.

Continuing, he acknowledged the good virtues of the late royal father in the areas of educational and social advancement of his people promising that the University will continue to build bridges of support for the Palace.

Dr. Vhovhen enjoined the people of Itsekiri Kingdom to continue to uplift the positive attributes of the deceased monarch by continuing to live together with their neighbours in harmony and love thus promoting peace and progress in the community.

He said: “We feel your pain. We wish the Itsekiri nation the fortitude to bear the great loss”, he submitted just as he admonished the Olu-designate, Prince Tsola Emiko to “take everybody as one in order to build on the legacies of the late monarch”.

In his response, the Regent of Warri Kingdom, Prince Emmanuel Okotie-Eboh, thanked the delegation for their solidarity with the Itsekiri nation “at this painful period” while looking forward to their continued support for the community.
