PHOTOS: Sir Victor Uwaifo Storms DELSU, As University Librarian Delivers 86th Inaugural Lecture

Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, on Thursday, June 17, 2021, hosted a music legend, Professor Sir Victor Uwaifo.
This, was when a member of the Uwaifo family, Professor Stephen Uwaifo, also the University Librarian, delivered the institution’s 86th in the series of inaugural lecture.
The lecture titled: ‘In the Throes of Pandemic: Rejigging Library and Information Services for the Information Healthy and Sick Society’ was presented at the university’s 1st 750 Auditorium in Site III.
In his remarks, Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Andy Egwunyenga likened Sir Uwaifo to a musical library, adding that his person and music have to be continually studied considering the global impact of his songs and music.

According to him, Uwaifo is Africa’s greatest musician, saying that the university is proud to have him around.
”I am sure that many are still studying his music all over the world,” Egwunyenga added.
