UPDATED: Popular Nollywood Actress, Racheal Oniga Is Dead

Report reaching us is that popular Nollywood actress Racheal Oniga is dead.

Details of what lead to her Death is still sketchy but early suggestions show complications from COVID 19.

Oniga, began her acting career in 1993, shortly after her divorce.

She was originally from Eku, Delta State.

She married a Yoruba man, but the marriage collapsed after she claimed another woman bewitched her husband and father of her children.

Among her popular works are Out of Bounds, Owo Blow, The Wedding Party, 30 Days in Atlanta and Power of Sin.

In recognition of her contribution to Nigerian theatre, she was gifted an apartment in Ikorodu by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

She has featured in over a hundred movies.

She died on Friday night at age 64 and she is said to have featured in a new movie in Mowe, Ogun state few days to her death.

She was a grandmother who was divorced from her husband 19 years ago.

Efforts to speak with members of her family did not go through as at press time.
