2023: Delta State Needs A ‘Real Christian’ Governor — Evang Austin Akpo Ofomana
By Daniel Dafe
A governorship aspirant in the 2023 guber race in Delta State, Evangelist (Dr.) Austin Akpo Ofomana, has said that the state needs a God-fearing man and real Christian to take over from Governor Ifeanyi Okowa when he exits the stage.
Ofomana said this when he spoke to journalists recently in Abraka.
While calling on the Christian community in the state to rise up to the challenge, he recalled what happened in Benue state that produced a Reverend Father as governor, adding that if given a chance, he will not only pursue the interests of Christians in the state, but that the welfare of every other religion will be achieved.
Continuing, he said that as a former state chairman of the state’s Christian Pilgrims Board, he will boost the pilgrimage boards of both the Christians and Muslims and as well enhance traditional religious board and tolerate other religious believes across the state.
He added: “BTA will be fully restored and all pilgrims from Delta State will be sponsored by government. There will be no private pilgrims and pilgrimage for both Christians and Muslims will be widely accommodating to take all that are sincere pilgrims.”
Furthermore, he commended Governor Okowa for his developmental strides so far and urged Deltans to support him to finish strong.
