Rize FM Warri Appeals For Support As Fire Guts Building, Others Worth N250M

Rize 106.7 FM Warri has confirmed the fire incidence that occurred at the radio station on Thursday, just as the management appealed for support from well-meaning Nigerians.

In a statement on Thursday signed by Laju Awala, Head of Station, the media house said the station was gutted by fire in the early hours of Thursday.

According to the statement, “the inferno razed down the entire top floor of the building housing all three studios of the organization, the transmitting room, all broadcasting equipment, the news and current affairs department, all computer system and other major offices and property of the organization estimated at over N250m.”

The Management appreciated men of the Delta State Fire Service and Shell Fire Service as well as friends of the station that responded to distress calls and worked collectively to put the fire off.

Continuing, the management said that efforts were ongoing to get the station back on air and appealed for support from members of the public and organisations in all possible ways to enable Rize FM continue to blaze the trail of positivity.

Furthermore, the radio station appealed to clients specifically and listeners generally to be patient in this challenging times, adding that “by the grace of God, this challenge will only be for a short time.”
