Delta 2023: DC-23 Is Screen Trading, Has No Guber Candidate, Says Okowa Aide

The Executive Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Community Matters and National Coordinator,
3rd force 2023, Chief David Omoru, has again taken a swipe at Delta Central 2023 (DC-23), saying they do not have a candidate.

Recall that DC-23 led by Chief Ighoyota Amori, determined to produce a candidate for PDP from Delta Central, recently constituted a committee to screen governorship aspirants from the senatorial district in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

DC-23 believes that pruning down the number will give Urhobo a better chance in producing the governor and thus overcome the tense tussle to arise as Ijaw nation is also jostling to become governor, come 2023.

But, Omoru’s 3rd force 2023 says DC-23 does not have what it takes to produce Okowa’s successor.

According to a Facebook post by Omoru, “a wise politician should join the 3rd force 2023 not DC 23.”

Furthermore, he said that his political pressure group has a governorship candidate.

His words: “We have a governorship candidate but they don’t have. They are ‘screentrading’.”

He continued: “General election is 14 months ahead and you think God has not prepared one who will take over from Gov Okowa?”
