Delta 2023: Governorship Aspirants Should Be Allowed To Pick Their Deputies —Ofomana

A frontline 2023 governorship aspirant in Delta State, Evang. (Dr.) Akpo Ofomana, has appealed to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to allow aspirants determine who their running mates are.
TB governorship hopeful who spoke to journalists, said that leaders of the party need to stay off the issue of deputy governor, adding that they aso should stop heating the political atmosphere with the issue of deputy.
He said: “With respect to my leaders, let the various aspirants go to the field with their deputy working and not encourage lazy politicians; please don’t rubbish this whole system. Please let us go to the field and also choose our deputy governor. Let us be democratic in our operations.”
He continued: “Some aspirants like Evang Dr Austin Akpo Ofomana is not prepared for dummy like politics.

“Therefore people with objectives minds should reason with me and support Evang Dr Austin Akpo Ofomana(aka Urhobo agenda) for Governor of Delta state, come 2023 by the special mercy and grace of God,” he said.
Meanwhile, Evang Ofomana has picked Prof. (Chief) Mrs Julie Umukoro nee Agha from Ndokwa East, ad his running mate.
Hr disclosed that he recently had a” heart to heart discussion on ways to better the livee of Deltans.”
He gave reasons for this.decision, saying.it was a” proper political analysis of political equity to balance the political scale.”
His words: “A woman for deputy is about gender balance and to bring something new to better the lives of Deltans,” adding that she is “an intelligent woman who can help to redefine the rule of women in society.”
