BREAKING! ASUU Strike: All Academic Activities Are In Full Swing, Says DELSU VC

Vice-Chancellor, Delta State.University (DELSU), Abraka, Professor Andy Egwunyenga, has said that despite the ongoing strike of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), “all academic activities in DELSU are in full swing.”
He said this in a tweet on Tuesday afternoon.
The VC on Saturday during the institution’s matriculation ceremony for 2021/2022 Academic Session, stressed that the revised Academic Calendar wikl be strictly adhered to, saying that lectures will fully commence on Monday (yesterday).
However, sources said that ASUU members in the university disrupted a few lectures in the institution.

Meanwhile, a statement released by the management on Tuesday, titled: ‘Resumption Of Studies’, said that “the earlier directive on resumption of studies stands.”
Adding: “Accordingly, all students are strongly advised to go about their academic activities without let.”
According to the statement, “all academic staff are requested to ensure that academic activities commence fully.”
The statement continued: “For the benefit of doubt, the university Authorities will take appropriate measures to ensure that this directive is judiciously adhered to by both students and academic staff.
“Please be guided!”
