Police Arrest Vigilante For Allegedly Killing 22-Year- Old Man In Sapele

Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have arrested a vigilante for allegedly killing a 22-year-old man in Sapele, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State.
It was said that some persons were watching a traditional worshippers dance festival in the area when the alleged killer suddenly emerged and shot the deceased who was said to have died on the spot.
Another source stated that the alleged shooter had mistakenly shot his victim, thinking he was part of some group of criminals who had earlier attacked the vigilante group in the area.

A security source who craved anonymity told newsmen that the suspect was arrested that night.
“His vigilante colleagues wasted no time in arresting him and taking him to the police station and as I speak to you, he is behind the bars while investigation will be carried out,” the source said.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Command, DSP Bright Edafe, could not be reached for comment.
Meanwhile the corpse of the deceased was said to have been deposited in the Sapele Central Morgue.
