2023: I Will Sponsor Bills Focused On Building The Youths, Ned Nwoko Assures
…As PDP Delta North Senatorial Campaign Train Tours Ika South
By Marvin Enyosa
The Star Prince of Idumuje-Ugboko and Delta North Senatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party for the coming 2023 general elections, Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko, has promised to sponsor bills that will build capacity for youths after his victory at the poll.
The philanthropist adorned as the Lion of Delta State, gave the promise at the ongoing Delta North Ward to Ward Senatorial campaign which stormed Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State on Monday, November 14, 2022.
He said the project being a master plan, would focus on assisting not less than one million youths to build their businesses within the four years of his tenure, as it is time for the young Nigerians to gainfully benefit from their government.
His words, “the youths will be my first focus because I know how they have been neglected over the years.
“The youths are equal stakeholders in Nigeria as both the country’s resources and wealth also belongs to them but over the years, nothing has been done specifically to help the youths.
“So my first law will be for the youths, particularly young entrepreneurs with registered business in different fields of endeavour, to get #50 million each to build their businesses.”
Speaking further, the pragmatic lawmaker noted that an agency will be set up for the scheme while it’s criteria will be for beneficiaries to have their registered businesses running for at least two years.

Meanwhile, Nwoko cleared that for the project to see the light of the day, he would require the support of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa being Presidents of Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Victor Nwokolo as Federal House of Representatives member and Hon. Festus Okoh well known as Chuky Dandy as Delta State House of Assembly member respectively, to collectively build the project for the youths.
“This, I have discussed with both Atiku and Okowa, and are fully ready to work with me.
“Where the money is going to come from wouldn’t be a problem because Nigeria has money. All we need to do, is to vote PDP all the way as the party is key to a new Nigeria,” he added.
On his part, the Ika South House of Assembly candidate for PDP, Chuky Dandy, expressed gratitude to the faithful for their show of love for the party.
He said the campaign was not for them to give account of their stewardship but to encourage members to preach PDP across the nocks and crannies of the local government, adding that at the main campaign, the people will be properly briefed.
However, Chuky Dandy assured that PDP remains the unbeaten political party in Ika South, and shall replicate the success story in the coming elections.
Others who spoke include the PDP Delta North Chairman, Hon. Moses Iduh, the Ika South PDP chairman, Comr. Ameachi Igumbor and the LGA Campaign Director, Elder Isioma Okonta, who in their separate remarks welcomed all and in the same vein affirmed victory for the party.
They urged party members to engage in door to door campaigns in a bid to produce bush load of votes for PDP.
The campaign was massive and indeed electrified the local government as it toured Ward one to Ward four of the area, having supporters chanting songs of victory for the party.
In attendance were notable personalities which include some members of the Delta State House of Assembly from the Anioma extract led by the Deputy Speaker of the house, Hon. Ochor Ochor, other government functionaries, Hon. Pascal Adigwe, Hon. Sunny Ogwu, Marilyn Okowa, Evang. (Mrs) Cordilia Onyagwu, Hon.
