Registration Begins For Tare Magbei Scrabble Tourney

Organizers have commenced registration for the maiden edition of the Tare Magbei Scrabble Tourney, Burutu.

This is sequel to announcement last week that registration for the tourney would commence at the end of October.

A statement signed by the Local Organizing Chairman, Ekisah Ebizimor, on Monday, revealed that registration for the competition will run from October 31 to November 26, 2022.

The statement read in part;
“We have commenced registration for the maiden edition of the Tare Magbei Scrabble Tourney, Burutu.

“As stated earlier, prospective participants are expected to send in their registrations through the Ijaw Youth Council Chairman of their clan.

“Two registration slots are available for each of Obotebe, Iduwini, Ogbolubiri, Eseimbiri, Operemor, Ogulagha, Tuomo and Ngbilebiri kingdoms.

“Registration closes November 26, 2022 as draws will hold on November 30th, while the competition proper is slated for December 2 – 3, 2022.

“The competition will feature a round-robin group stage that will be followed by knockouts.”

The Tare Magbei Scrabble Tourney is a brainchild of digital entrepreneur and media practitioner, Tare Magbei.

The maiden edition holds in collaboration with the Nigerian Youth Organization, Burutu.
