Akpowowo Preaches Peace, Love At Christmas

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the Delta State House of Assembly, Ethiope East Constituency 2023 race, Olorogun (Barr.) Arthur Akpowowo has urged has people in the area to use the occasion of the Christmas celebration to demonstrate the virtues of peace and love that Jesus Christ personified.

Akpowowo in his goodwill message to mark the birth of Jesus Christ today enjoined all to embrace the virtues of peace and love that Christmas epitomised, just as he said that Jesus Christ is the reason for the celebration and also the Prince of Peace.

Adding: “Terefore the period should remind us on the need to live in peace with one another.”

While wishing the good people of Ethiope East and Deltans a happy Christmas celebration, he said: “The birth of Jesus Christ as contained in the Holy Scriptures was necessitated by the love of God for mankind. Since Christ is the love of God personified, everyone marking and celebrating his birth is duty bound to show love to one another.”

He called on all Ethiope East people and Deltans to continue to support the administration of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, stating that the Okowa-led administration remains committed to finishing strong and delivering the dividends of democracy to the people via his people-oriented policies and programmes that have direct bearing on the lives of the people.
