Delta.Guber: Be Calm, We Will Prevail, Omo-Agege Tells Supporters

Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has called on his supporters to be calm, saying that the party will prevail.
Results announced at the time of this report, puts the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori ahead with over 100, 000 votes.
In a statememt signed by HON. HENRY EFEDUKU, SSA POLITICAL TO DSP SEN. OVIE OMO-AGEGE, while calling on Deltans to be calm, he noted that “INEC is a product of the law and it will follow the law.”

He added: “The law (Electoral Act) is very clear. This is what it says in Section 64(8):
“Where the dispute under subsection (6) arose at the level of collation and the returning officer has satisfied the provision of subsection (6) (a)-(d), the returning officer shall accordingly declare the winner of the election.”
“So, having raised disputes at the final collation level, there CANNOT be a LAWFULLY VALID declaration of any winner until certain conditions outlined in the Act are met, and this includes RE-COLLATION of all rigged or tainted results.”
Continuing he said that “the Distinguished Senator Ovie Omo-Agege is a man of granite will and steely determination. We will prevail. Absolutely nothing to fear.
“We know that you are genuinely worried, but please just be calm.”
