DELSU: Professor Nwoke Delivers 15th Convocation Lecture

Professor of Public Health, Parisitology and Entomology, Imo State University, Owerri, Professor B.E.B Nwoke, on Friday delivered the 15th Convocation Lecture of the Delta State University, DELSU, Abraka.
Prof. Nwoke, a Fellow Nigeria Academy of Science, spoke on ‘Transformational Leadership:
The Panacea for the Change we Need in a Deprived Society.”
His presentation held the audience spellbound as he analyzed the principles and role of integrity, empathy, compassion, discipline, transparency and vision in transformational leadership.

The eminent scholar lamented Nigeria’s stunted development traceable to leadership weakened by corruption, incompetence and nepotism.
The 15th Convocation Lecture was well attended with dignitaries from all works of life including the Chairman of Council, Professor Sam Oyovbaire, former Governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, members of Senate and Council, traditional rulers, Vice-Chancellors, staff and students.
