Agbarha Warri People Are Hospitable – Spokesman, Warri Arewa Community

A prominent member of Arewa Community in Warri South Local Government Area, Alhaji Zuberu Mohammed Tajudeen who is the Etsu (leader ) of Nupe people in the local government area has remarked that Agbarha Warri people were hospitable.

Tajudeen who spoke on behalf of the entire members of Arewa Community in Warri during a condolence visit to chiefs and people of Agbarha Warri Kingdom on transition of HRM London Aforkerhi Itu JP Ememoh 11, the Ovie of Agbarha Warri Kingdom, also noted that Arewa people in Warri South Local Government had a cordial relationship with Agbarha Warri people right from time immemorial.

While affirming that the Agbarha Warri people are their hosts, he sought for more cordial relationship between the Arewa Community and Agbarha Warri Kingdom.

Tajudeen drew inferences to Uvwie Kingdom where he said Arewa Community was carried along in the activities of palace of the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom with their seriki ( leader ) in Uvwie Local Government Area Alhaji Suleiman Jauro.

To this end, he appealed that an Arewa person or persons should be considered for a chieftaincy title from the ancient Urhobo Kingdom of Agbarha Warri.

He reasoned that such a relationship will close any communication gap between Agbarha Warri people and Arewa people.

“Most of us were born and brought up here in your kingdom. So we are here to pay our condolence on the demise of our royal father ” he added.

The spokesman for the Arewa Community in Warri South Local Government Area then promised that Arewa people will participate in the rites of passage of the respected tradititioal ruler.

The Chairman, Agbarha Warri Regency Council High Chief Willie Atebefia Digbori JP in his response, affirmed that the relationship between Agbarha Warri Kingdom and Arewa Community had been very cordial and that most of the Arewa people who paid the visit, were born and brought up in Agbarha Warri Kingdom just as he commended them for the visit.

The Unuovwodo of the Agbarha Warri Community of Ogunu , High Chief ( Sir ) Syvelster Udi who spoke to newsmen shortly after the visit commended the spokesman for Arewa Community in Warri South Local Government, Area Alhaji Zuberu Mohammed Tajudeen for his kind remarks on Agbarha Warri people.
