NAPPS Elects First Woman As Chairman In Delta

National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, Delta State Chapter, on Friday, 25th August, 2023, for the first time elected a woman, Deaconess (Mrs) Precious Young, to pilot the affairs of the body for the next four years.

The election which was supervised by the National Vice President, South South, Dr Ochuko Akpeme and other South South Officers, held at Patmon Sçhools, Eku.

According to results announced by the Chairman of the electoral committee, Hon Erhimu Nelson, Mrs. Young polled 64 votes to beat her opponent, Deacon Chuks OSAZUWA who ganered 48 votes.

Other positions had sole candidates who were returned unopposed.

The Chairman-elect is the Executive Director, Royal Foundation School, Ogwashiku in Aniocha South Local Government Area.

Oasis Magazine gathered that the new executive will be sworn in at a date to be announced soon.
