Sapele LGA: Eugene Inoaghan Deserves Third Term –William Popo

As the search for who becomes the next chairman of Sapele Local Government Area begins, Hon William Popo, Supervisory Councillor for Agriculture has requested that the incumbent chairman, Chief Eugene Inoaghan be given a third term in office to enable him continue with his good work.
Hon William Popo made the call on Friday, August 25, 2023 during an interactive session with journalists on who is more competent to take over from Eugene.
He argued that Inoaghan be allowed to continue for a third tenure for his remarkable accomplishments in driving numerous transformative projects throughout the Local Government Area.
When asked why he wanted Eugene Inoaghan to be re-elected for a third time, Popo said that Eugene Inoaghan has created an indelible record in the history of Sapele Local Government.

“Since 1999 till date, no sitting chairman has done what the incumbent chairman has done. Sapele is witnessing an unprecedented wave of development and progress across various sectors. The array of projects that he has executed from newly built legislative arm, renovation of the council secretariat, re-roofing of the chairman’s office, provision of vehicles for security agencies, HPM, Treasurer, secretary, NULGE, newly built classrooms and renovations of the council primary school, Inter-locking of the council premises, provision of over 50 transformers, renovations of various health center in the LGA, are many of the visible projects that Eugene has done and more are still counting,” he said.
Apart from embarking on projects that are visible and significantly impacted lives, he is also involved in human capital development and empowerment which has improved lives and put smiles on the faces of the needy in society, he said.
“Government is all about affecting lives positively and Eugene Inoaghan has been able to do that, for the first time, I can categorically say that Sapele has a representative who understands the needs and yearning of the people. Other leaders holding key position should emulate Eugene Inoaghan in terms of making the people at the grassroot to feel the presence of government,” he added.
Reeling out the chairman’s achievement, Hon Popo appealed to leaders of the Sapele political class to return Eugene Inoaghan unopposed to enable him continue with his good work.
Popo opined that, reelection of Eugene for a third tenure, means continuous development and rapid growth for Sapele Local Government.
