13% Derivation: Bayelsa Should Be Most Developed State In Nigeria –X User
A post on X (formerly Twitter) by one Chris, a staunch member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has wondered why Bayelsa State is still the way it is after receiving N92.92 billion naira 13 percent oil derivation money from January to June 2023.
According to his post on Friday, “ordinarily, Bayelsa State should be the most developed state in the country.”
Adding: “A small state with huge resources but nothing to show.”

Continuing, he wrote: “Bayelsa State still owes workers as we speak.”
“The state has just 8 local Governments with less than 2 million people but yet one of the worst States in Nigeria in terms of infrastructural development,” he concluded.
