Presentation Of Staff Of Office To Ewu-Urhobo Monarch: A Symbol Of Truth – Okorodudu

The newly appointed Chairman of Delta State Printing and Publishing Company, Dr ( Olorogun) Ebenezer Okorodudu ( JP ) has remarked that Delta State Government’s presentation of staff of office to HRM Clement O Ikolo Urhukpe 1 the Ovie of Ewu – Urhobo Kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area was a symbol of truth, justice, equity and righteousness.

The former Chief of Staff to Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori ( when he was the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly ) made the remark in an exclusive media chat with our correspondent shortly after the traditional ruler was presented the staff of office by Governor Oborevwori ( represented by the Deputy Governor Sir Monday John Onyeme ) at a very impressive ceremony at Otor Ewu in Ughelli South Local Government Area on Thursday, 16th November, 2023 .

The two-time former commissioner in Delta State also remarked that the presentation of staff of office was a landmark in the history of Ewu- Urhobo Kingdom, Urhobo Nation and Delta State.

Okorodudu who is the National President of the prestigious Urhobo Peoples Intergrity Organisation ( UPIO ) however noted that the journey to the presentation of staff of office was not an easy one because according to him, people failed to understand that one plus one is equal to two.

“But to God be the glory, the truth has emerged; the right person has been presented with the staff of office,” he added.

Okorodudu had earlier expressed deep appreciation to Governor Oborevwori for the presentation of staff of office to HRM Clement Oghenerukevwe Ikolo , Urhukpe 1 the Ovie of Ewu-: Urhobo Kingdom .

” His Excellency Governor Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori is an amiable leader; a man of truth; a man who believes in procedures; a man of equity.

“I have worked with him. If you are not truthful, you cannot work with him.

” I love him so much. He is my leader. He will continue to be my leader,” he added.

The new Ewu – Urhobo monarch is a maternal nephew to Dr ( Olorogun ) of Ebenezer Okorodudu ( JP ).
