DISNA 2024: Integrity Group Applauds Oasis Magazine, Promises Support
By Precious Okwa
The Integrity Group of Delta has said that Oasis Magazine stands out as a media house in the state committed to integrity and professionalism.
This is just as the media house on Sunday unofficially announced plans to organize an award ceremony in June alongside her 11th anniversary.
The event tagged ‘2024 Distinguished Nigerians Award’ (DISNA) will be held in Abraka amidst pomp and pageantry.
In a press statement on Sunday, Integrity Group, a political pressure group with networks across Delta State, committed to supporting the ‘More Agenda’ of Oborevwori, said Oasis Magazine, known for its apolitical stance with its style of balanced journalism will be supported by the group, saying Oasis Magazine has projected Delta State to the world in many ways.
Convener of the group, Dr. Oke Idawene, who signed the statement, said a large number of members of the body will be at the event to give moral and other forms of support to the publisher and his team.

“We wish Oasis Magazine a great celebration, come June and we urge the group to remain unbiased in its reportage and continue to represent all sides and remain for everybody and nobody, not minding whose horse is gored,” the statement concluded.
Meanwhile at the time of this report, one of the members of the organizing committee whom does not want his name mentioned, said that the media house is likely to hold the event in September rather than the June initially announced earlier on Sunday.
