Army Recruitment: Troops Apprehend Fake Soldier Extorting Applicants In Taraba

Troops of 93 Battalion of the 6 Brigade have apprehended a fake soldier trying to extort two applicants for recruitment into 87 Regular Recruit Intake of the Nigerian Army in Zing LGA, Taraba State.
This follows the visit to the venue of the recruitment exercise by the Commander 6 Brigade, Brig. Gen KC Uwa who warned candidates not to give money to anyone with the promise to help them succeed in the recruitment screening.
Young Danladi, a civilian, was apprehended on June 22, at the recruitment/documentation Headquarters at Jimlari, while trying to extort Aliyu Ibrahim, with application 641516, and Sani Yusuf Mayo, with the number, 64182.
The suspect had asked the two applicants to give him N70,000 each to pave the way for them to get recruited.
The suspect is in the custody of troops as preliminary investigations are ongoing on the case.
