Ethiope East Dissolves Revenue Committees, Threatens Police Arrest, Prosecution For Defaulters

All revenue activities In Ethiope East Local Govt council of Delta State have been suspended till further notice.
This was contained in an official announcement personally signed by the Chairman, Hon. Augustine Ogedegbe.
The letter titled ‘Dissolution Letter’, reads in part: “All the various Revenue Committees constituted by the management are hereby dissolved till further notice. Therefore, nobody is allowed to collect Revenue on behalf of the Council henceforth.”

The council boss warned that “defaulters shall be arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law.”
“All Committee Chairman and members are hereby advised to submit all council properties in their possession to the Head of Revenue with immediate effect, as failure will attract legal sanction,” the said notice concluded.
