Ajede Set To Inaugurate 35-Member Ukwuani Strategic Policy Council
The Executive Chairman of Ukwuani Local Government, Hon. (Barr.) C.S. Possible Ajede, having consulted widely with critical stakeholders and Ukwuani communities across the LGA has constituted a 35-member Ukwuani Strategic Policy Council.
The committee will brainstorm and articulate the #DoMoreAgenda thematic areas to provide a strategic developmental blueprint in ensuring smooth implementation in line with the administration’s thrust.
In a statement made available by the Council Chairman, the Ukwuani Strategic Policy Council comprises of interdisciplinary scholars drawn from the 9 clans in the LGA.
“The composition of this committee includes men and women who possess the requisite knowledge, wisdom, capacity, and experience essential for the arduous yet feasible task before them,” the statement read.
Ven. Frank Emeni, Mr Onyemechi Friday Ugbe and High Chief Timothy Umukoro will serve as Coordinator, Deputy Co-ordinator and Secretary of the team, respectively.

The committee will be inaugurated in the coming days, according to the Chairman.
Upon their inauguration, the policy council is expected to look at the following thematic areas captured in the #DoMoreAgenda and come up with a comprehensive report and recommendations:

2. Agriculture and Industries
3. Environment
4. Human Capital Development
5. General Administration and strategy
6. Infrastructures and Utilities
7. Fiscal Policy and Public Finance
8. Social Development & Creative Industry
9. Entrepreneurship and Job Creation
10. Revenue Generation
11. Social Services, Culture and Sports
Barr Ajede, according to the statement, stated that the council is expected to work, complete, and submit/present their report within 3 weeks of their inauguration for onward review of recommendations and implementation.
Describing the composition of the committee, Barr Ajede expressed confidence in them, saying: “I have no doubts in my mind that the men and women who have been constituted as members of the Ukwuani Strategic Policy Council possess the requisite knowledge, wisdom, capacity, and experience essential for the assignment ahead. They are true Ukwuani sons and daughters who I thought have developmental initiatives, and it is my prayer that they accept this responsibility and deliver accordingly.”
