BREAKING: DTSG To Pay New Minimum Wage, Schedules Meeting With NLC
Delta State Government has directed its Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Kingsley Emu and Commissioner for Finance, Chief Fidelis Tilije, to hold talks with the State Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), on the implementation of the new minimum wage.
Commissioner for Information in the state, Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza, announced this on Wednesday while briefing Journalists on the outcome of the State Executive Council meeting.

According to him, talks between government and labour on the new wage would commence on Thursday, August 15, 2024.
The Commissioner declared that Delta State Government would not pay less than the N70,000 prescribed by law, but could not confirm whether the state would pay more.
He explained that the Committee would be working out the consequential adjustments of the new minimum wage and was expected to conclude its assignment in a week’s time.
