Ukoko R’Emotọ Awards Cash Prizes To BA Linguistics/Urhobo Students In DELSU

The Ukoko R’Emotọ, a sociocultural organisation of Urhobo male staff at the Delta State University, Abraka, has presented cash prizes of N150,000 to three best students of the Department of Languages and Linguistics, Faculty of Arts, DELSU, Abraka.
The President of Ukoko R’Emotọ, Olorogun Matthew Ovedje Eyuren presented the cash prizes at the meeting of the Urhobo Studies Association (USA) on Tuesday, June 30, 2024 as part of the Ukoko R’Emotọ’s annual financial support scheme to promote Urhobo language studies.

Eyuren expressed Ukoko R’Emotọ’s readiness to collaborate with the USA and work together to preserve and develop the Urhobo language.
The three recipients, Emily Akpomedaye (400 level), Susan Ohwonohwo (300 level) and Omobo Success (200 level) got N50,000 each.
