Bandits Attack Sabon Birni Road, Abduct Commuters

Armed bandits have launched an attack along the road between Takalmawa and Dunkawa communities in Gatawa Ward, Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

The assailants reportedly blocked the route, abducting some commuters traveling along the road.

Sources told Zagazola Makama that the attack was orchestrated by Kallamu, a notorious associate of the infamous bandit leader, Bello Turji.

Kallamu is known for his violent operations within the general area, targeting travelers and local residents. Other affected areas that he has been terrorizing include; Garin Idi, Dunkawa, Takalmawa and Gatawa in Sokoto State.

These communities have seen repeated attacks amid ongoing efforts by security agencies to curb banditry in Sokoto State.
